THE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF DEFENCE HEREBY INFORMS:
Young Cameroonians of both sexes who are interested in building a career with the Defence Forces, that a competitive entrance examination for the recruitment of 700 Student Non-Commissioned Officers of the Armed Forces (General Service) and 40 Student Non-Commissioned Officers (Military Health), as well as the ordinary recruitment of 5330 Soldiers and Seamen Second Class shall take place as from 27 March 2023 in the headquarters of the 10 Administrative Regions of Cameroon.
Applicants shall deposit their application files at the Command Post of the Military Sector of its place of residence, between 30 January and 10 March 2023, latest.
Conditions to be fulfilled are as follows:
- GENERAL CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED BY CANDIDATES
- Be of Cameroonian nationality;
- Have a clean criminal record;
- Be single without dependent children;
- Be of good moral standing;
- Be physically fit to carry out the prescribed athletic, intellectual and medical requirements;
- Have a minimum height of 66 metres for boys and 1.60 metres for girls.
- SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CANDIDATES SITTING IN FOR STUDENT NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF THE ARMED FORCES
In addition to the general application conditions:
- Be at least 18 years old on 1st January 2023 and 23 years old at most on 31st December 2023 (that is, must be born between 1st January 2005 for the youngest and 31st December 2000 for the oldest);
- Be holder of a GCE Advanced Level obtained in at least one (01) subject (excluding Religious Studies), or Probatoire or an equivalent certificate.
- SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CANDIDATES SITTING IN FOR STUDENT NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS (MILITARY HEALTH)
In addition to the general application conditions: - Be at least 18 years on 1st January 2023 and 28 years at most on 31st December 2023 (that is, must be born between 1st January 2005 for the youngest and 31st December 1995 for the oldest);
- Be holder of a GCE Advanced Level obtained in at least one (01) subject (excluding Religious Studies), or Probatoire or an equivalent certificate;
- Be holder of a State Registered Nurse or a Health Technician certificate, or an equivalent.
Certificates in psychology, psychiatry, intensive care, stomatology, radiology, cardiology, physiotherapy, ENT, virology, bacteriology, parasitology, immunology, general microbiology, medical science, maternity care or midwifery are additional assets for applicants who hold these qualifications.
- SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CANDIDATES SITTING IN FOR SOLDIERS AND SEAMEN SECOND CLASS
In addition to the general application conditions:
- Be at least 18 years old on 1st January 2023 and 23 years old at most on 31st December 2023 (that is, must be born between 1st January 2005 for the youngest and 31st December 2000 for the oldest);
- Be holder of a GCE Ordinary Level obtained in four (4) subjects (excluding Religious Studies) or BEPC or an equivalent.
However, it is strongly recommended that each applicant for various recruitments should equally submit a certified true copy of their highest certificate.
- COMPOSITION OF APPLICATION FILE
- A hand written application bearing a 1,500 CFA francs stamp, signed by the applicant and addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence;
- A certified true copy of birth certificate, not more than three (3) months old;
- A certified true copy of the required certificate or the 2 certificates for applicants under Military Health;
- An Attestation of presentation of the original of the certificate or the 2 certificates for applicants under Military Health;
- A curriculum vitae signed by the applicant;
- An applicant information sheet (fiche de renseignements) duly filled out;
- 4 passport size colour photographs (4×4) without headgear;
- A certificate of nationality issued by competent authorities;
- A certificate of non-conviction not more than 3 months old signed by a magistrate;
- A certificate of celibacy;
- An envelope bearing applicant’s address and a 1,500 CFAF postal stamp;
- A receipt for the sum of 10,000 CFAF for candidates sitting in for Soldiers and Seamen Second Class and 15,000 CFAF for candidates sitting in for Student Non-Commissioned Officers of the Armed Forces, to be paid to the Head of Administrative and Financial Bureau “Chef du Bureau Administratif et Financier” of the Military Sector where the file is submitted.
Applicant’s attention is drawn to the fact that they shall not be authorised to marry before three (3) full years of service.
Applicants must be able, if necessary to present the originals of certificates before competent committees, failing which their applications shall be rejected. /-
